The Bedford QL was a series of trucks that were manufactured by Bedford for use by the British Armed Forces in the Second World War. The QL series included different variants for different purposes, such as cargo transport, artillery tractor, radio van and troop carrier.
The most common variant was the QLD, which had a general service body and could carry up to 3 tons of payload. The QL trucks were powered by a 6-cylinder petrol engine that produced 72 hp and had a four-wheel drive system. The QL trucks were known for their reliability and versatility in various terrains and climates. They served in many theatres of war, such as Europe, North Africa and Asia.
