Den Type 97 Lett pansret bil Te-Ke (九七式軽装甲車 テケ, Kyū-nana-shiki kei sōkōsha Teke) var en tankett som ble brukt av den keiserlige japanske hæren i den andre kinesisk-japanske krigen, ved Nomonhan mot Sovjetunionen og i andre verdenskrig. General Characteristics
The Type 97 Te-Ke was a Japanese tankette (a very small armored vehicle) developed as a replacement for the earlier Type 94 TK. Its primary role was armed reconnaissance, liaison, and infantry support, not engaging enemy tanks. It featured a major redesign from its predecessor, including moving the engine to the rear and the commander’s turret forward to improve communication between the two-man crew.
