De Douglas EA-1F Skyraider was a specialized Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) variant of the famous single-engine, propeller-driven A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft.

It was a key variant of the multi-seat AD-5 model, designed to carry a crew of four to operate its electronic warfare equipment, supporting U.S. Navy and Marine Corps strike operations.

Original Designation: AD-5Q (Redesignated EA-1F in 1962).
Primary Role: Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) and radar jamming.
Base Airframe: Derived from the AD-5 (A-1E), featuring a widened and lengthened fuselage for side-by-side seating and an expanded equipment bay.
Bemanning: Vier (Pilot, Co-Pilot, and two or more Electronic Warfare Operators).
Conversion: Ongeveer 54 AD-5N aircraft were converted to the AD-5Q/EA-1F configuration.

The EA-1F’s mission was to fly alongside strike aircraft, using its specialized gear to blind enemy radar and disrupt communications during the Vietnam War era.
