USS Blueback (SS-581) was a Barbel-class submarine that served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1990. She was the last non-nuclear submarine to join the US fleet, and the last to be decommissioned before the nuclear-powered Los Angeles-class submarines. She participated in various missions during the Cold War, including surveillance, training, and testing of new technologies. She also appeared in several films and television shows, such as The Hunt for Red October and Hawaii Five-O. She is now a museum ship at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in Portland, Oregon.
