Per saperne di più:

The Boeing 80 was a passenger airliner developed by Boeing in the late 1920s. It was designed to carry 18 passengers and three crew members on routes between Chicago and San Francisco. The Boeing 80 had a biplane configuration with three Pratt & Whitney Wasp radial engines. The first flight of the Boeing 80 took place on July 27, 1928, and the first commercial service began on August 22, 1928, with Boeing Air Transport.
The Boeing 80 was one of the first airliners to feature an enclosed cabin for passengers and a separate cockpit for the pilots. It also had a lavatory, a galley, and a baggage compartment. The Boeing 80 was well received by the public and the press, and was praised for its comfort, speed, and safety. The Boeing 80 was later improved with a larger fuselage and more powerful engines, resulting in the Boeing 80A and the Boeing 80A-1 models. The Boeing 80 series was in service until 1934, when it was replaced by more modern monoplane airliners. A total of 16 Boeing 80 aircraft were built, of which only one survives today at the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
