The MOWAG Piranha is a family of armoured fighting vehicles designed by the Swiss company MOWAG (since April 2010 the name has changed to General Dynamics European Land Systems – Mowag GmbH). Five generations of vehicles have been produced, manufactured by Mowag or under licence by other companies, and variants are in service with military forces throughout the world. Piranhas are available in 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, and 10×10 wheel versions. There are several variants within these versions, giving different degrees of armour protection and several kinds of turret, for use in a variety of roles. Piranha derivatives have been assigned roles as troop transports, command vehicles, fire support vehicles, tank trainers, and police vehicles.

Piranha 10×10 is a versatile and modular vehicle platform that can be configured for various missions and roles. It is designed to offer high mobility, protection, payload and reliability in challenging environments. Piranha 10×10 can accommodate up to 12 crew members and carry up to 15 tons of equipment. It can be fitted with different types of weapons, sensors, communication systems and other mission-specific modules. Piranha 10×10 has a modular armor system that provides protection against ballistic threats, mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
It also has a mine blast protected seating system that reduces the risk of injuries to the occupants. Piranha 10×10 has a powerful engine and an independent suspension system that enable it to traverse rough terrain and overcome obstacles. It can reach a maximum speed of 100 km/h on road and 10 km/h on water. It can also be air-transportable by C-130 Hercules or larger aircraft. Piranha 10×10 is a proven and reliable vehicle platform that has been in service with several armed forces around the world. It can be used for various missions such as reconnaissance, patrol, command and control, medical evacuation, logistics support, peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance.
