A Curtiss P-40 Warhawk egy amerikai egymotoros, együléses, teljesen fém vadászgép és földi támadó repülőgép volt, amely először 1938-ban repült. A P-40 design volt a módosítás a korábbi Curtiss P-36 Hawk, amely csökkentette a fejlesztési idő, és lehetővé tette a gyors belépést a termelés és az operatív szolgáltatás. A Warhawkot 28 nemzet légi erői használták, köztük a legtöbb szövetséges hatalom a második világháború alatt, és a háború végéig a frontvonalban maradt. Ez volt a harmadik legtöbbet gyártott amerikai vadászgép a P-51 és P-47 után; 1944 novemberére, amikor a P-40 gyártása megszűnt, 13 738-at építettek, mindezt a Curtiss-Wright Corporation fő gyártóüzemeiben Buffalo-ban, New Yorkban.

Hasegawa has accurately replicated the Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor, a modern single-seat fighter aircraft of the fifth generation that utilizes stealth technology. First placed in the U.S. Air Force inventory in December of 2005, the F-22 is primarily an air superiority fighter — although it also has the capability to carry out ground attacks, electronic warfare and signals intelligence operations. Every plastic model kit produced by Hasegawa is highly anticipated, and the 1/48 F-22 Raptor is no exception. Officially licensed by Lockheed-Martin, it captures the intimidating profile of the full-size jet fighter, with lots of the sort of scale details that Hasegawa is known for.

Dragon has been constantly expanding its popular 1/72 scale range of model Leichter Panzerspahwagen light reconnaissance vehicles. An Sd.Kfz.260 was released a short time ago, and now Dragon is offering yet another interesting variant. This time it is an Sd.Kfz.261. The Sd.Kfz.260 and 261 were similar in that they were both designed for signals units, with a total of 493 produced from November 1940 through till April 1943. They were designed specifically as armored (but unarmed) radio communication vehicles. The Sd.Kfz.261 was fitted with a FuG.12 long-range radio set connected to a frame antenna and also a telescopic antenna. In due course the Sd.Kfz.260/261 family was replaced by halftrack radio vehicles. Dragon’s 1/72 scale model makes use of the newly tooled Sd.Kfz.260. It has brand new parts such as the frame antenna and the exquisitely produced telescopic antenna mounted on the left side of the hull. These radio components provide the Sd.Kfz.261 with a unique silhouette and cause it to really stand out from other members of the Leichter Panzerspahwagen family. The hull-top opening is made of plastic, this material being much easier to work with than photo-etched parts. After painting in appropriate colors, modelers can apply Cartograf high-quality decals to finish off their distinctive-looking Sd.Kfz.261!

BMD-1. -Boevaya Mashina Desanta (légideszant harcjármű) – a hadsereg legjobb páncélozott gyalogsági járművének, a BMP-1-nek a légi megfelelőjeként tervezték. Mindkét jármű ugyanazt a fegyverzetrendszert használta: egy egyszemélyes torony 73 mm-es Grom alacsony nyomású löveggel és egy kilövő a 9M14M Maliutka páncéltörő rakétához. Mivel a BMD-t légi leejtésre tervezték, méretét és súlyát jelentősen csökkenteni kellett – 7 tonna alatti harci terhelés (BMP esetében 13 tonna felett).

During Civil War in Spain Germans found that aircraft support became very important in a modern war and, from the other side, every infantry formation needs active defenses from enemy aviation. The Zwillingslafette 36 was in the early war time mostly wagon mounted and used as an air defense weapon for infantry units on the march. The wagon used was the so called Einachshänger – the If. 5 MG wagon. It was a small trailer used for that specific purpose. It could be either horse drawn or drawn by a small truck. The wagon could be braced by jacks when used in a static air defense role or mounted on the bed of small trucks or on cars.

A S-400 Triumf is a new generation anti-aircraft weapon system developed by Russia’s Almaz Central Design Bureau as an upgrade of the S-300 family. It is currently in limited service with the Russian Armed Forces. The S-400’s NATO reporting name is SA-21 Growler, and the system was previously known as S-300PMU-3. Its range is at least twice that of the MIM-104 Patriot. The S-400 uses 3 different missiles to cover its entire performance envelope. These are the extremely long range 40N6, long range 48N6 and medium range 9M96 missile. Each one has different capabilities.

The BTR-60 is the first vehicle in a series of Soviet eight-wheeled armoured personnel carriers. It was developed in the late 1950s as a replacement for the BTR-152 and was seen first time in public in 1961. An order to enter the BTR-60P into Soviet Army service was issued on 13 December 1959. However production started in 1960. First BTR-60Ps were delivered in 1960. It first entered service with the Soviet Army and later the Soviet naval infantry. In early 1960s it replaced the BTR-152 in the role of the basic APC. BTR-60P was first seen by the West in 1961. BTR-60PA entered service with the Soviet Army in 1963 , BTR-60PB did in 1966. As the newer models of BTR-60 appeared the older ones were gradually withdrawn from front-line service. A number of old BTR-60Ps were converted into repair vehicles.
