Le Curtiss P-40 Warhawk Il fu un caccia monomotore, monoposto, tutto metallo e aereo da attacco al suolo che volò per la prima volta nel 1938. Il progetto del P-40 fu una modifica del precedente Curtiss P-36 Hawk che ridusse i tempi di sviluppo e permise un rapido ingresso nella produzione e nel servizio operativo. Il Warhawk fu utilizzato dalle forze aeree di 28 nazioni, incluse quelle della maggior parte delle potenze alleate durante la seconda guerra mondiale, e rimase in servizio in prima linea fino alla fine della guerra. È stato il terzo caccia americano più prodotto, dopo il P-51 e il P-47; nel novembre 1944, quando la produzione del P-40 cessò, ne furono costruiti 13.738, tutti nei principali stabilimenti di produzione della Curtiss-Wright Corporation a Buffalo, New York.

Una novità 2012 del brand Hasegawa il kit : «Nakajima KI42-I Hayabusa 64th Limited Edition – Hasegawa 07303».

Hasegawa ha replicato accuratamente il Lockheed Martin / Boeing F-22 Raptor, un moderno aereo da combattimento monoposto di quinta generazione che utilizza la tecnologia stealth. Inserito per la prima volta nell'inventario della U.S. Air Force nel dicembre del 2005, il F-22 · è principalmente un caccia da superiorità aerea, sebbene abbia anche la capacità di effettuare attacchi a terra, guerra elettronica e operazioni di intelligence dei segnali. Ogni kit di modelli in plastica prodotto da Hasegawa è molto atteso e il 1/48 F-22 Raptor non fa eccezione. Ufficialmente concesso in licenza da Lockheed-Martin, cattura il profilo intimidatorio del caccia a grandezza naturale, con molti dettagli in scala per cui Hasegawa è famoso.

Dragon has been constantly expanding its popular 1/72 scale range of model Leichter Panzerspahwagen light reconnaissance vehicles. An Sd.Kfz.260 was released a short time ago, and now Dragon is offering yet another interesting variant. This time it is an Sd.Kfz.261. The Sd.Kfz.260 and 261 were similar in that they were both designed for signals units, with a total of 493 produced from November 1940 through till April 1943. They were designed specifically as armored (but unarmed) radio communication vehicles. The Sd.Kfz.261 was fitted with a FuG.12 long-range radio set connected to a frame antenna and also a telescopic antenna. In due course the Sd.Kfz.260/261 family was replaced by halftrack radio vehicles. Dragon’s 1/72 scale model makes use of the newly tooled Sd.Kfz.260. It has brand new parts such as the frame antenna and the exquisitely produced telescopic antenna mounted on the left side of the hull. These radio components provide the Sd.Kfz.261 with a unique silhouette and cause it to really stand out from other members of the Leichter Panzerspahwagen family. The hull-top opening is made of plastic, this material being much easier to work with than photo-etched parts. After painting in appropriate colors, modelers can apply Cartograf high-quality decals to finish off their distinctive-looking Sd.Kfz.261!

BMD-1. -Boevaya Mashina Desanta ( Airborne Combat Vehicle) – was designed as an airborne counterpart of the army’s best armored infantry vehicle, the BMP-1. Both vehicles shared the same armament system: a single-man turret with a 73mm Grom low-pressure gun and a launcher for 9M14M Maliutka anti-tank missile. Because the BMD was designed for airborne drop, it’s size and weight had to be considerably trimmed – combat loaded weight under 7 tons (over 13 for BMP).

During Civil War in Spain Germans found that aircraft support became very important in a modern war and, from the other side, every infantry formation needs active defenses from enemy aviation. The Zwillingslafette 36 was in the early war time mostly wagon mounted and used as an air defense weapon for infantry units on the march. The wagon used was the so called Einachshänger – the If. 5 MG wagon. It was a small trailer used for that specific purpose. It could be either horse drawn or drawn by a small truck. The wagon could be braced by jacks when used in a static air defense role or mounted on the bed of small trucks or on cars.

Le S-400 Triumf is a new generation anti-aircraft weapon system developed by Russia’s Almaz Central Design Bureau as an upgrade of the S-300 family. It is currently in limited service with the Russian Armed Forces. The S-400’s NATO reporting name is SA-21 Growler, and the system was previously known as S-300PMU-3. Its range is at least twice that of the MIM-104 Patriot. The S-400 uses 3 different missiles to cover its entire performance envelope. These are the extremely long range 40N6, long range 48N6 and medium range 9M96 missile. Each one has different capabilities.

The BTR-60 is the first vehicle in a series of Soviet eight-wheeled armoured personnel carriers. It was developed in the late 1950s as a replacement for the BTR-152 and was seen first time in public in 1961. An order to enter the BTR-60P into Soviet Army service was issued on 13 December 1959. However production started in 1960. First BTR-60Ps were delivered in 1960. It first entered service with the Soviet Army and later the Soviet naval infantry. In early 1960s it replaced the BTR-152 in the role of the basic APC. BTR-60P was first seen by the West in 1961. BTR-60PA entered service with the Soviet Army in 1963 , BTR-60PB did in 1966. As the newer models of BTR-60 appeared the older ones were gradually withdrawn from front-line service. A number of old BTR-60Ps were converted into repair vehicles.
