2007 Airbus A400M Atlas is a European four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft. It was designed by Airbus Military (now Airbus Defence and Space) as a tactical airlifter with strategic capabilities to replace older transport aircraft, such as the Transall C-160 and the Lockheed C-130 Hercules. The A400M is between the C-130 and the Boeing C-17 in size; it can carry heavier loads than the C-130 and is able to use rough landing strips. Along with the transport role, the A400M can perform aerial refueling and medical evacuation when fitted with appropriate equipment.

Lisainfo:

The Airbus Military A400M Grizzly is a four-engine turboprop aircraft designed for strategic and tactical airlift missions. It can carry up to 37 tons of cargo or 116 paratroopers over a range of 4,800 nautical miles. It can also perform air-to-air refueling and medical evacuation roles. The A400M is the result of a multinational collaboration among seven European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The first flight of the A400M took place on 11 December 2009 and the first delivery to the French Air Force occurred on 29 December 2013.
The A400M has a large cargo hold that can accommodate various types of vehicles, helicopters, containers and pallets. It can land and take off from short and unpaved runways, enabling it to operate in remote and austere environments. The A400M is equipped with a self-defense system and advanced avionics that allow it to fly in low-visibility conditions. The A400M is also known as the Atlas in some countries.
