T-26 mod.1933

A model of the brand Zvezda the kit: T-26 mod.1933 – Zvezda 3538.

1/35 Scale Model Kit. This kit includes one plastic model Soviet tank. Model supplied unpainted. Assembly required

History: Patterned after the British Vickers 6-Ton tank, the T-26 was one of the most successful light tank designs in the world. Over 11,000 of these plucky little infantry tanks were built during the 1930s and 1940s, in more than 50 different variants. Though it was mostly out-of-date by the beginning of World War II, it was the most common Soviet tank at the time and would continue to see service through the end of the war. The “model 1933” was the most common variant of the T-26. This type of tank had a distinctive turret that housed a 45mm 20K tank gun as well as a 7.62mm machinegun. Some tanks were also equipped with a radio and a “hand rail” radio antenna. It weighed about 10 tons, measured 4.65 meters in length, and was protected by 15mm of armor. This model could travel at speeds over 16 km/h off road, with a range of over 100 km.

Pz.Kpfv.V Panther (Ausf.D)

A model of the brand Zvezda the kit: Pz.Kpfv.V Panther (Ausf.D) – Zvezda 3678.

History: Panther is the common name of a medium tank deployed by Nazi Germany in World War II from mid-1943 to the end of the European war in 1945. It was intended as a counter to the Soviet T-34, and as a replacement for the Panzer III and Panzer IV. While never replacing the latter, it served alongside it and the heavier Tiger tanks until the end of the war. The Panther’s excellent combination of firepower, mobility, and protection served as a benchmark for other nations’ late war and post-war tank designs, and it is regarded as one of the best tanks of World War II.

French 5t truck AHR

AHR 5t truck . In late 1930-th French army required some new military vehicles for different purposes, but the normal civilian versions were a too complicated and didn’t have any unification for service purposes. Renault started working on some simplified versions of trucks for either military or civil use. Intersting solution was presented in early 1940 in the series of AHS 2 ton cargo, AHN 3,5 ton cargo and AHR 5 ton cargo trucks, but the mass production was too late.

French 47mm Anti-tank gun mod.1937

47 mm SA modele 1937 In the 1930s the French artillery sought a replacement for the derivatives of the 75 mm mle 1897 field gun it used in the anti-tank role. The chosen weapon was a design of the state-owned arsenal Atelier de Puteaux , and was designated as canon de 47 mm semi-automatique mle 1937. It was a very efficient weapon, especially given the thin armour of German tanks of the time. Unfortunately for France, the 47 SA 37 still was relatively rare at the time of the Battle of France. Examples captured by the German forces were operationally used under the designation 4.7 cm Pak 141(f).

German 37mm Flak 43 Zwilling

A model of the brand Trumpeter the kit: German 37mm Flak 43 Zwilling – Trumpeter 02347.

The kit consists of over 150 parts, includes a piece of Photo Etched parts : – Details finely represented by newly tooled parts

The new 3.7 cm Flak 43 was a dramatic improvement over the older models. A new gas-operated breech improved the practical firing rate to 150 RPM, while at the same time dropping in weight to 1,250 kg in combat , and mere 2,000 kg in transport. The barrel was shortened to 89 calibers. It was also produced in a twin-gun mount, the 3.7 cm Flakzwilling 43, although this version was considered somewhat unwieldy and top-heavy. Large-scale production did not start until 1944 and about 7,216 were produced by end of the war (Zwillings included, each counted as two guns).

USS West Virginia BB-48 1941

A model of the brand Trumpeter the kit: USS West Virginia BB-48 1941 – Trumpeter 05771.

The kit consists of over 440pcs : 17 sprues, upper hull, lower hull, waterline plate, deck and stand.

USS West Virginia (BB-48), a Colorado-class battleship, was the second ship of the United States Navy named in honor of the 35th state. Her keel was laid down on 12 April 1920 by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company of Newport News, Virginia. She was launched on 19 November 1921 sponsored by Miss Alice Wright Mann, daughter of Isaac T. Mann, a prominent West Virginian; and commissioned on 1 December 1923, Captain Thomas J. Senn in command.[1] As the most recent of the “super-dreadnoughts”, West Virginia embodied the latest knowledge of naval architecture; the watertight compartmentation of her hull, and the scale of her armor protection, marked an advance over the design of battleships built, or on the drawing boards before the Battle of Jutland.
