Photo gallery on a Sturmgeschutz III G, The assault cannon Sturmgesch-tz III (StuG III) was the armoured fighting vehicle produced by Germany during the Second World War. It was built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. Originally designed as a light armoured cannon to support the infantry, the StuG III fut continuellement modifié et fut largement employé comme chasseur de chars. La série des Sturmgeschütz (SdKfz 142) is known for its excellent price/quality ratio. By the end of the war, more than 10,500 had been built.
