Adam Makos je novinar, zgodovinar in urednik vojaške revije, Pogum. V petnajstih letih dela na vojaškem področju je Makos intervjuval nešteto veteranov iz druge svetovne vojne, Koreje, Vietnama in današnjih vojn. Letel je z bombnikom B-17, lovcem T-38 z letalskimi silami, in bil eden redkih novinarjev, ki so imeli privilegij, da so s svojimi piloti pregledali letalske sile Air Force One.
