Galeria zdjęć Marder 1A3, The Marder (German for “marten”) is a German infantry fighting vehicle operated by the German Army as the main weapon of the Panzergrenadiere (mechanized infantry) from the 1970s through the present day. Developed as part of the rebuilding of Germany’s armoured fighting vehicle industry, the Marder has proven to be a successful and solid infantry fighting vehicle design. While it does include a few unique features, such as the fully remote machine gun on the rear deck, it is overall a simple and conventional machine with rear exit hatch and side gun ports for mounted infantry to fire through. The Marder is currently being replaced by its successor, the Puma.

The Kliment Voroshilov (KV) tanks were a series of Soviet Red Army heavy tanks, named after the Soviet defense commissar and politician Kliment Voroshilov. The KV series were known for their extremely heavy armour protection during the early part of World War II, especially during the first year of the invasion of the Soviet Union. Almost completely immune to the 3.7 cm KwK 36 and howitzer-like, short barreled 7.5 cm KwK 37 guns mounted respectively on the early Panzer III and Panzer IV tanks fielded by the invading Nazi forces; until better guns were developed by the Germans it was often the case that the only way to defeat a KV was with a point-blank shot to the rear. Prior to the invasion, about 500 of the over 22,000 tanks then in Soviet service were of the KV-1 type. When the KV-1 appeared, it outclassed the French Char B1, the only other heavy tank in operational service in the world at that time. Yet in the end it turned out that there was little sense in producing the expensive KV tanks, as the T-34 medium tank performed better (or at least equally) in all practical respects. Later in the war, the KV series became a base of development for the Joseph Stalin (Iosif Stalin, or IS) series of tanks.

The vehicle body and turret are full welding aluminum structure. It is researched, developed and produced by GIAT Group in order to meet the requirement on replacing Panhard heavy armor vehicle by French Army. The French Army has purchased 284 pieces of AMX-10RC since the 1980s. Morocco and Qatar are equipped with this vehicle as well.AMX-10RC is engaged in the Chad Civil War, Gulf War, the Bosnian War and the War in Afghanistan where French Army joined. AMX-10RCR is a new type improved on the old AMX-10RC by French in 2000 where the vehicle loading equipment and steel armor are added, rear sprinkler and front breakwater are removed and the amphibious purpose is omitted. French Army completed the improvement of the entire vehicle in 2010. The new AMX-10RCR is to put into service for a longer time in French Army.

Galeria zdjęć Dzwon X-1B, The Bell X-1, designated originally as XS-1, was a joint National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics-U.S. Army Air Forces-U.S. Air Force supersonic research project built by the Bell Aircraft Company. Conceived during 1944 and designed and built during 1945, it achieved a speed of nearly 1,000 miles per hour (1,600 km/h; 870 kn) during 1948. A derivative of this same design, the Bell X-1A, having greater fuel capacity and hence longer rocket burning time, exceeded 1,600 miles per hour (2,600 km/h; 1,400 kn) during 1954. The X-1 was the first manned airplane to exceed the speed of sound in level flight and was the first of the so-called X-planes, a series of American experimental rocket planes designated for testing of new technologies and often kept secret.

Galeria zdjęć Avro Vulcan B2, The Avro Vulcan (officially Hawker Siddeley Vulcan from July 1963) is a jet-powered delta wing strategic bomber, which was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1956 until 1984. Aircraft manufacturer A.V. Roe and Company (Avro) designed the Vulcan in response to Specification B.35/46. Of the three V bombers produced, the Vulcan was considered the most technically advanced and hence the riskiest option. Several scale aircraft, designated Avro 707, were produced to test and refine the delta wing design principles.

Tthe Lampart 1 was the main battle tank of West Germany, first entering service in 1965. On the one hand, this is a saga of perfect German engineering evidenced by its fantastic cross-country performance. On the other hand, this is only half the story. In truth, this tank was an international effort featuring a German-built version of the fantastic British L7 105mm gun which made this tank one of the deadliest machines on the planet. France and other European nations also had an impact on its design. Over 6000 tanks were manufactured and saw service in diverse conflicts at the hands of various militaries. Throughout its lifetime it saw a series of six upgrades from Leopard 1A1 up to Leopard 1A6. It was also used as a platform for many specialist military vehicles and was of particular use to army engineers. The legacy of this tank lives on to this day, with some arguing it was the greatest machine of its age.
