The Engin Blindé de Reconnaissance et de Combat Jaguar (English: Armoured Reconnaissance and Combat Vehicle Jaguar) or EBRC Jaguar is a French armoured reconnaissance vehicle that will replace the French Army’s AMX 10 RC and ERC 90 Sagaie reconnaissance and fire support vehicles as well as the VAB Mephisto.

The EBRC Jaguar is a new-generation, six-wheel drive armored fighting vehicle developed by a French industrial consortium (Nexter, Arquus, and Thales) as part of the SCORPION modernization program for the French Army. It is designed for armored reconnaissance and combat, replacing older vehicles like the AMX-10 RC and ERC 90 Sagaie.

Key Features and Armament

The Jaguar is heavily armed for a reconnaissance vehicle, focusing on versatility and anti-armor capability.

  • Main Gun: 40 mm Cased Telescoped Armament System (CTAS) autocannon.
  • Rate of Fire: Up to 200 rounds per minute.
  • Anti-Tank Weapon: Two launchers for Akeron MP (MMP) Medium-Range Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs).

The Jaguar combines a high degree of firepower, protection, and C4ISTAR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance) capabilities, making it a powerful platform for modern, networked warfare.
