Zis-5 – Walk Around

A l’automne 1941 dans la ville de Miass, dans l’oblast de Tcheliabinsk, dans l’Oural, les dirigeants de Moscou ont décidé d’implanter une usine pour la fabrication de camions militaires baptisée du nom de Stalin : ZIS. À partir d’avril 1942, la production de moteurs et des boîtes de vitesses a commencé. Le 8 juillet 1944, les premiers camions ZIS-5V exited the channels under the UralZIS brand. The new factory became the Ural branch of ZIS and was called UralZIS after Stalin. At the end of the war the ZIS-5, a simple and robust truck, experienced its second generation and remained in production for many years to come. While in Moscow other factories began new manufacturing as early as 1947, UralZIS continued to manufacture the outdated 31 model, and had to constantly modernize it.
