T-54 og T-55 tankene er en serie sovjetiske hovedkamptanker introdusert i årene etter andre verdenskrig. Den første T-54 prototypen ble ferdigstilt i Nizhny Tagil innen utgangen av 1945. Den første produksjonsopptrappingen ble avgjort for 1947 i Nizhny Tagil, og 1948 for Kharkov ble stoppet og innskrenket da mange problemer ble avdekket; T-34-85 utgjorde fortsatt 88 prosent av produksjonen gjennom 50-tallet.
