The Flak 38 ble tatt i bruk i 1939. På kaliberet på 20 mm er hastigheten 180/220 runder / min. Den er også montert på Flakpanzer 38 (t) Gepard og SdKfz 251/17, 11 og SdKfz SdKfz 10/5.
