Uss Stockdale (DDG-106) is een Arleigh Burke-klasse geleide raket destroyer in de United States Navy. Het derde Amerikaanse marineschip met die naam, Stockdale, is vernoemd naar viceadmiraal James Bond Stockdale (1923-2005) en is de 56e torpedobootjager in haar klasse.

USS Stockdale (DDG-106) is an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer in the United States Navy. The ship was named after Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale, a Medal of Honor recipient and former prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. USS Stockdale was commissioned on 18 April 2009 at Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme, California. The ship’s motto is “Return with Honor”.
USS Stockdale is equipped with the Aegis combat system, which enables the ship to track and engage multiple air, surface and subsurface targets simultaneously. The ship also carries a variety of weapons, including Tomahawk cruise missiles, Standard surface-to-air missiles, Harpoon anti-ship missiles, Phalanx close-in weapon system, torpedoes and a 5-inch gun. USS Stockdale also has two SH-60 Seahawk helicopters for anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue, and other missions.
USS Stockdale heeft sinds de ingebruikname deelgenomen aan verschillende operaties en oefeningen, zoals Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Inherent Resolve, Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC), Malabar en Valiant Shield. Het schip heeft ook vrijheidsnavigatieoperaties uitgevoerd in de Zuid-Chinese Zee en de Straat van Taiwan, evenals havenbezoeken aan verschillende landen in de Indo-Pacifische regio. USS Stockdale is momenteel toegewezen aan Destroyer Squadron 21 en heeft als thuishaven op marinebasis San Diego.
