2007 Northrop Grumman MQ-8 ugnies skautas is an unmanned autonomous helicopter developed by Northrop Grumman for use by the United States Armed Forces. The Fire Scout is designed to provide reconnaissance, situational awareness, aerial fire support and precision targeting support for ground, air and sea forces. The initial RQ-8A version was based on the Schweizer 330, while the enhanced MQ-8B was derived from the Schweizer 333. The larger MQ-8C Fire Scout variant is based on the Bell 407.

2007 Northrop Grumman MQ-8 ugnies skautas is an unmanned autonomous helicopter developed by the American company Northrop Grumman for use by the United States Navy. The MQ-8 Fire Scout can perform various missions such as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), target acquisition, laser designation, and fire support. The MQ-8 Fire Scout can operate from any air-capable ship or land base and can be controlled remotely by a human operator or autonomously by an onboard computer.
The MQ-8 Fire Scout has a maximum speed of 115 knots, a range of 110 nautical miles, and an endurance of up to 8 hours. The MQ-8 Fire Scout can carry a variety of payloads such as electro-optical/infrared sensors, radar, laser designators, and weapons. The MQ-8 ugnies skautas has been deployed in various theaters of operation such as Afghanistan, Libya, and the Persian Gulf.
