フォトギャラリー トーラス ARV , The Leopard is a main battle tank designed and produced in West Germany that first entered service in 1965. Developed in an era when HEAT warheads were thought to make conventional heavy armour of limited value, the Leopard focused on firepower in the form of the German-built version of the British L7 105-mm gun, and improved cross-country performance that was unmatched by other designs of the era. Modified and derivative vehicles : Simultaneous to the production of the battle tanks, a number of engineering, bridging and recovery vehicles were developed. The Canadian Land Forces operate the Beaver bridgelayer, Taurus ARV, and Badger AEV, all based on the Leopard 1.

ザ トーラス ARV (Armoured Recovery Vehicle)は、レオパルト1主力戦車のシャーシをベースにした車両で、戦場の他の装甲車両の支援と回収を提供するように設計されています。Taurus ARVは、障害のある車両や損傷した車両を牽引、持ち上げ、ウインチ、修理できるだけでなく、スペアパーツ、燃料、弾薬を運ぶことができます。トーラスARVは3〜4人の乗組員で、自衛用の7.62mm機関銃で武装しています。
ザ トーラス ARV は西ドイツのクラウス・マッファイ社によって開発され、1975年にドイツ陸軍に入隊しました。また、カナダを含むいくつかの国にも輸出され、アフガニスタンではストラスコーナ卿の馬(ロイヤル・カナディアンズ)連隊によって使用されました。トーラスARVは、3:1の機械的利点で最大100トンを引っ張ることができる強力なウインチと、最大20トンを持ち上げることができるクレーンを備えています。トーラスARVは、ブルドーザーとして動作し、他の車両に燃料を補給することもできます。トーラスARVは10気筒ディーゼルエンジンを搭載し、最高速度は65km/h、航続距離は600kmです。
