Cette année marque l’anniversaire de la guerre des Malouines qui a eu lieu il y a 30 ans, en 1982, et Cyber Hobby commémore l’événement historique avec une deuxième trousse à l’échelle 1/72 de l’hélicoptère Sea King. Les modélistes ont reçu avec enthousiasme la toute nouvelle variante de transport de troupes Westland WS-61 Sea King HC.4, et cet article Cyber-Hobby s’est avéré un succès instantané. Ce deuxième kit représente le rare hélicoptère aéroporté AEW.2 d’alerte avancée. Les combats de la guerre des Malouines ont révélé une lacune AEW dans la capacité de la Royal Navy (RN), et même pendant que le conflit était en cours, Westland a commencé à convertir deux hélicoptères Sea King HAS.2 en mai 1982. Après le programme de développement de l’accident, ces deux hélicoptères ont rejoint la force opérationnelle de remplacement lorsqu’elle a pris la mer en août, bien qu’il soit trop tard pour participer aux combats. Les AEW.2 étaient équipés d’un radar Thorn-EMI ARI 5930/3 Searchwater monté dans un radôme gonflable monté sur un bras pivotant.

The ship was named after Prince Eugene of Savoy, an 18th century Austrian general.

The Eduard Brassin accessories covers the cockpit (pilot’s compartment bay, pilot’s seat, armor plate behind the seat, center wing section, radio equipment), the superchargers (the entire supercharger, plus the supercharger intakes located on the engine sides) and landing gear wheels (including the front wheel, with superb details on their discs, also as the fine tire pattern). The photoetched accessories (colored) contains the instrument panel and seatbelts, air intake strainers and structure of the coolers intakes, landing gear interior and various exterior details.
