Nniiden Boeing PT-13 was a biplane trainer aircraft used by the United States Army Air Forces and the United States Navy during World War II. It was one of the variants of the Boeing-Stearman Model 75, which was also known as the Kaydet. The PT-13 had a Lycoming R-680 radial engine, which gave it a maximum speed of 125 mph and a range of 450 miles. The PT-13 was a rugged and reliable aircraft, with an open cockpit and a tailwheel undercarriage. It could accommodate two crew members, an instructor and a student, in tandem seats. The PT-13 was widely used for primary flight training and aerobatics, and thousands of pilots learned to fly on this aircraft. After the war, many PT-13s were sold to civilians and converted for crop dusting, sport flying, or air show performances.
