el Dassault Super Mystère was a French fighter-bomber and was the first Western European supersonic aircraft to enter mass production. The Super Mystère represents the final step in evolution which began with the Dassault Ouragan and progressed through the Mystère II/III and Mystère IV. While earlier Mystère variants could attain supersonic speeds only in a dive, the Super Mystère could exceed the speed of sound in level flight. This was achieved thanks to the new thin wing with 45° of sweep (compared with 41° of sweep in the Mystère IV and only 33° in Mystère II) and the use of an afterburner-equipped turbojet engine.

el Dassault Super Mystere B.2 fue un cazabombardero francés que entró en servicio en 1958. Fue el primer avión supersónico de Europa Occidental en entrar en producción en masa y el primero en el mundo en superar Mach 2 en vuelo nivelado. El Super Mystere B.2 era una versión mejorada del anterior Mystere IV, con un motor más potente, un ala en flecha y un fuselaje rediseñado.
el Super Mystere B.2 Estaba armado con dos cañones de 30 mm y podía transportar una variedad de bombas, cohetes y misiles. Participó en la Crisis de Suez, la Guerra de los Seis Días y la Guerra de Desgaste, principalmente con la Fuerza Aérea israelí. El Super Mystere B.2 fue retirado del servicio en 1977.
