Συλλογή φωτογραφιών ενός 2S1 Γκβόζδικα, The 2S1 Gvozdika (Russian: 2С1 «Гвоздика», “Carnation”) is a Soviet self-propelled howitzer based on the chassis MT-LB APC, mounting the 122 mm 2A18 howitzer. “2S1” is its GRAU designation. An alternative Russian designation is SAU-122 but in the Russian Army it is commonly known as Gvozdika. The 2S1 is fully amphibious with very little preparation, and once afloat is propelled by its tracks. A variety of wider tracks are also available to allow the 2S1 to operate in snow or swamp conditions. It is NBC protected and has infra-red night-vision capability.

Teh 2S1 Γκβόζδικα is a self-propelled howitzer developed by the Soviet Union in the early 1970s. It is based on the MT-LB multi-purpose tracked vehicle and has a 122 mm 2A18 gun that can fire various types of ammunition, including high-explosive, smoke, illumination, and chemical rounds. The 2S1 Gvozdika has a crew of four and can carry up to 40 rounds of ammunition. It has a maximum range of 15.3 km and a rate of fire of 5 rounds per minute. The 2S1 Gvozdika can also be used as a direct fire support weapon, with a secondary machine gun mounted on the roof. The 2S1 Gvozdika is amphibious and can cross water obstacles with minimal preparation.
It has a diesel engine that provides a top speed of 60 km/h and a cruising range of 500 km.
