Čaj Carro Armato M15/42 was the final iteration of the Italian ‘M’ series medium tanks, designed by Fiat-Ansaldo as an interim solution until the heavier P26/40 could be mass-produced.

Service Notes

Despite being intended for the North African Campaign, the M15/42 arrived too late to see service there. Its primary combat was in **Italy** following its introduction in 1943. After the Italian armistice, many captured vehicles were utilized by the **German Wehrmacht**.

Its chassis proved to be a successful platform for self-propelled guns, such as the Semovente 75/34.
