The New Standard D-25 aircraft is a biplane that was designed and built in the United States in the late 1920s. It was intended to be used for barnstorming and aerial sightseeing tours, as it could carry up to four passengers in an open cockpit. The D-25 was powered by a Wright J-5 radial engine that produced 220 horsepower. The aircraft had a wooden frame covered with fabric, and a wingspan of 39 feet.
The D-25 was known for its stability and reliability, and was capable of performing aerobatic maneuvers. The D-25 was also used for crop dusting, mail delivery, and military training. Only 62 D-25s were built, and only a few of them survive today. The New Standard D-25 aircraft is a rare and valuable piece of aviation history that showcases the early days of commercial and recreational flying.
