Designed to replace the subpar Wildcat, the F6F Hellcat is most famous as the Mitsubishi® Zero’s most formidable foe. Kit features folding wings, retracting landing gear, a complete load of bombs and rockets, a seated pilot figure, an outside crew figure and decals for two versions: 1. F6F-5 Hellcat, White 115 “Death ‘n Destruction”/BuNo 72534 of Ensigns Donald McPherson, Bill Kingston, Jr. and Lyttleton Ward, VF-83, U.S.S. Essex, May 1945 and 2. F6F-5 Hellcat, ‘7’ Paper Doll, Ensign Bob Burnell and Lt. Carl Brown, Jr., VF-27, U.S.S. Princeton, October 1944.
