The **Australian Cruiser Tank Mark 1 (AC1)**, officially named the **Sentinel**, was the first tank designed and built in Australia during World War II. Key Design and Engineering
The Sentinel incorporated a number of unique and innovative design features, especially considering Australia’s limited experience in tank production:
