De Polaris RZR (uitgesproken als "razor") is een sport side-by-side geproduceerd door Polaris Industries. Toen het in 2007 als model uit 2008 op de markt kwam, stond het officieel bekend als de Ranger RZR, omdat het op de markt werd gebracht als een submodel van de grotere, werkgerichte Ranger. Toen de RZR aan populariteit won, liet Polaris uiteindelijk de Ranger-aanduiding vallen en positioneerde de RZR als een op zichzelf staand model.
U.S. Special Operations Command, (US)SOCOM, plaatste in september 2013 een bestelling bij Polaris Defense voor maximaal 1.500 MRZR-2 (2-zits) en MRZR-4 (4-zitplaatsen) machines. Een groot nadeel van deze nieuwe kleine militaire voertuigen was dat ze hun originele benzinemotoren behielden, die niet compatibel zijn met standaard militaire JP-8 brandstof. Logistiek gezien zijn twee verschillende brandstoftypes duidelijk niet ideaal. Omdat maar weinig van dergelijke machines worden gebruikt in gevechten en civiele gebruikers niet geïnteresseerd zijn om ze op diesel te laten rijden, werd een motorwissel onwaarschijnlijk geacht.

The Polaris MRZR (pronounced M-R-Z-R) is a series of highly mobile, lightweight tactical all-terrain vehicles developed by Polaris Defense.
