Lla Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk est un avion d’attaque furtif bimoteur monoplace américain qui a été développé par Lockheed’s secretive Skunk Works division and operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). The F-117 was based on the Have Blue technology demonstrator. The Nighthawk was the first operational aircraft to be designed around stealth technology. Its maiden flight took place in 1981, and the aircraft achieved initial operating capability status in 1983. The Nighthawk was shrouded in secrecy until it was revealed to the public in 1988. Of the 64 F-117s built, 59 were production versions, with the other five being prototypes.

Le Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk est un avion d’attaque furtif développé par les États-Unis à la fin des années 1970. C’est le premier avion militaire au monde conçu dès le départ pour avoir la signature radar la plus faible possible. Le F-117 était basé sur le démonstrateur technologique Lockheed Have Blue, qui a volé pour la première fois en 1977. Le F-117 est entré en service en 1983 et a été officiellement révélé au public en 1988. Le F-117 a été utilisé dans plusieurs conflits, y compris la guerre du Golfe et la guerre du Kosovo, où il a effectué des frappes de précision sur des cibles de grande valeur. Le F-117 a été retiré du service actif en 2008, mais certains avions sont encore utilisés à des fins d’entraînement à partir de 2022.
