Lla Fureur de mer de Hawker was a British carrier-borne fighter-bomber developed during World War II, though it entered service shortly after the war in 1947. It was a navalized and refined derivative of the earlier Hawker Tempest and is considered one of the fastest piston-engine aircraft ever built.
C’était le dernier chasseur à hélices à servir dans la Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm and saw notable combat during the Korean War, including a famous instance of shooting down a jet-powered MiG-15.
