Nniiden Sadanpäämies oli toisen maailmansodan jälkeisen ajan ensisijainen brittiläinen päätaistelutankki. Vuonna 1945 esiteltyä sitä pidetään laajalti yhtenä menestyneimmistä sodanjälkeisistä säiliömalleista, joka pysyi tuotannossa 1960-luvulle asti ja näki taistelun etulinjoilla 1980-luvulle asti. Alusta sovitettiin myös useisiin muihin rooleihin, ja ne ovat pysyneet käytössä tähän päivään asti.

The new Dragon 1/6 scale model kit shows a 1/4-Ton 4×4 Truck modified by the SAS for ETO missions. It’s heavily loaded with extra fuel to allow reconnaissance missions deep behind frontlines. T-54 tuli täyteen tuotantoon vuonna 1947 ja siitä tuli tärkein säiliö Neuvostoliiton armeijan panssaroiduille yksiköille, Varsovan sopimuksen maiden armeijoille ja muille. T-54: t ja T-55: t olivat mukana monissa maailman aseellisissa konflikteissa 20. vuosisadan lopulla ja 21. vuosisadan alussa.

Yhdysvaltain laivasto (USN) loi vallankumouksellisen konseptin, kun se listasi vaatimukset uusille rannikkotaistelualuksilleen (LCS), laivaston aluksille, jotka on suunniteltu toimimaan rannikkovesillä sekä vedenalaisia että pintauhkia vastaan. Kilpailevat amerikkalaiset konsortiot loivat kaksi erilaista mallia, joista USS Freedom (LCS-1) oli Lockheed Martinin suunnittelema johtava alus. Toinen luokka on USS Fort Worth (LCS-3), joka on määrä ottaa käyttöön syyskuussa 2012. Se on 118,6 metriä pitkä ja uppouma 3 200 tonnia. Eroja johtoalukseen ovat pidennetty runko nopeuden parantamiseksi ja polttoaineenkulutuksen vähentämiseksi sekä parannetut vakavuustoimenpiteet. Huippuluokan järjestelmät tarkoittavat, että USS Fort Worthin käyttämiseen tarvitaan alle 50 merimiehen miehistö.
Dragon on luonut tästä aluksesta hienon 1/700 mittakaavan muovimallin, joka vangitsee tarkasti tyylikkään Freedom-luokan aluksen kulmikkaat linjat. Se perustuu LCS-1:n Cyber-Hobby-sarjaan, malliin, joka sai laajalti kiitosta. Tämä uusi esine vaati kuitenkin täysin uuden liukumuovatun rungon ja kannen Fort Worthin pituuden kasvun vuoksi. Mallintajat huomaavat, että hyvin suunnitellut osat sopivat tarkasti yhteen, ja kuten odotettavissa on, he voivat koota joko vesilinjan tai täysrungon version. As part of the USA’s experimental flight program, the X-29 first took to the air from Edwards Air Force Base on 14 December 1984. A total of two aircraft, based on Northrop F-5A Freedom Fighter airframes, were produced and they flew in various tests up till 1991. The Grumman X-29’s key characteristics were forward-swept wings (at more than 33° angle), canard control surfaces and composite materials. The design was inherently unstable to increase its agility, so it utilized computerized fly-by-wire controls that could make 40 corrections per second while flying at a maximum speed of Mach 1.8. The carbon-fiber composite materials were necessary to manage the twisting that results from forward-swept wings. Such aeroelastic divergent twisting results from aerodynamic forces that rotate the wings’ leading edges upwards, and which could easily result in structural failure. Interestingly, this was only the world’s second jet-powered aircraft to have forward-swept wings, the first being the Junkers Ju 287 of 1944 vintage!

PLA Army in later 1990s raised the exact performance specifications of its new generation utility chassis of IFV and Armed Vehicle. In 1999, the plans of Chongqing Heavy Vehicle Group and NORINCO were selectd by Military Industrial governing department. After that, these prototype vehicles were combined with different gun-turrets for firing test and driving evaluation. At last, Northern Heavy Machinery won the project and in 2005 the manufacturer’ prototype vehicles were involved in later tests. In 2006, the sample utility chassis for Infantry Combat and Mobile Artillery vehicle were produced. After 24 months’ extreme condition adaptability testing, the new 8×8 wheeled Infantry Combat vehicle family was finalized the design and named as ZBL-09 “Snow Leopard”.
