Περισσότερες πληροφορίες:

The SPAD S.XI was a French biplane that served as a reconnaissance aircraft during the First World War. It was designed by Louis Béchereau, who also created the successful SPAD 7 and SPAD 13 fighters. The SPAD S.XI had a Hispano-Suiza 8 engine that gave it a maximum speed of 176 km/h and a ceiling of 7,000 m. It was armed with two or three machine guns and could carry up to 70 kg of bombs. However, the SPAD S.XI had many problems with its performance, handling and reliability. It was rejected as a two-seat fighter and reclassified as a reconnaissance plane. It was soon replaced by the improved SPAD S.XVI model. The SPAD S.XI was used by France, Belgium, the United States, Uruguay, Russia and Japan.
