The M422 Mighty Mite was a lightweight 4×4 utility truck that was designed for airlifting and manhandling by the United States Marine Corps. It was produced by American Motors Corporation from 1959 to 1962, and was the first U.S. jeep to have an aluminum body and independent suspension.
