It could carry up to 10 crew members and various types of ammunition depending on the gun it towed. It also had a front-mounted winch and a Browning M2 machine gun for self-defense. The M5 High Speed Tractor had five variants with different cab designs and spring arrangements. It served in various conflicts such as World War II, the Korean War, and the Lebanese Civil War.
