Čaj Letov Š-1 was a Czechoslovak single-engined, two-seat biplane surveillance aircraft. It was the first military aircraft built in Czechoslovakia. It was designed by Alois Šmolík at Letov Kbely. The Š-1 first flew in 1920. Letov Š-2 is a re-engined of Š-1.

The Letov S-1 was a Czechoslovak single-engined, two-seat biplane surveillance aircraft. It was the first military aircraft built in Czechoslovakia. It was designed by Alois Šmolík at Letov Kbely. The S-1 first flew in 1920 and entered service in 1921. It was powered by a Hiero L 6-cylinder water-cooled engine that produced 230 hp. The S-1 had a wingspan of 13.20 m, a length of 8.30 m, and a height of 3.10 m. It had a maximum takeoff weight of 1,375 kg and a maximum speed of 194 km/h. The S-1 was armed with two machine guns and could carry up to 120 kg of bombs. The S-1 was used for bombing and reconnaissance missions until it was replaced by more modern aircraft in the late 1920s.
