Gaz-ААА was the most widely used truck of the Red Army having increased floatation ability. From the start of mass production in 1934 through 1943 more than 37000 trucks were manufactured, most of them for military use. In the army the truck was used for general purpose transport, it played a major role in the defense of Leningrad.
