Production and Service

A total of 36 Sav m/43 vehicles were produced by Scania-Vabis between 1944 and 1947. The first 18 were armed with the 75 mm gun, while the remaining 18 received the 105 mm gun after it became available post-World War II.

The Sav m/43 was initially issued to the A9 Artillery Regiment at Kristinehamn in 1945. In 1951, they were transferred to the armored forces and allocated to infantry assault gun companies, with six vehicles per brigade. The Sav m/43 remained in service with the Swedish Army until 1973.
