2007 MAR-290 is a missile system developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and used by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). It consists of a launcher vehicle that can carry up to 12 rockets with a range of 35 km and a warhead of 122 kg. The MAR-290 is designed to provide precision strike capabilities against targets such as enemy Suurtükivägi, command and control centers, air defense systems, and infrastructure. The MAR-290 was first used in combat in 2014 during Operation Protective Edge, where it reportedly destroyed several Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. The MAR-290 is considered to be a cost-effective and reliable weapon system that enhances the IDF’s operational flexibility and deterrence.
