Rasketehnika transpordisüsteem (abbreviated as HETS) is a term applied (primarily) to a U.S. Army logistics vehicle transport system, the primary purpose of which is to transport the M1 Abrams tank. It is also used to transport, deploy, and evacuate armored personnel carriers, self-propelled artillery, armored bulldozers and other heavy vehicles and equipment of all types. The current U.S. Army vehicle used in this role is an Oshkosh-built M1070 A0- ja A1-konfiguratsioonis veduk, mis on ühendatud DRS Technologies M1000 poolhaagisega. International Operators: Due to its proven capability, the M1070 has been exported to numerous allied nations, including the United Kingdom (where it is known as the Oshkosh 1070F), Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
Upgrade (M1070A1): The A1 variant introduced in the 2010s features a significantly more powerful engine (700 hp) and improved braking and cooling systems to handle heavier modern tanks and difficult terrain.
