Harley-Davidson tootis Teises maailmasõjas USA armeele suurel hulgal mootorrattaid ja jätkas hiljem tsiviiltootmist, tootes mitmesuguseid suuri V-twin mootorrattaid, mis olid edukad nii võidusõiduradadel kui ka eraostjatele.
