2007 BvS10 (Bandvagn Skyddad 10, tuntud ka kui Bandvagn 410 või BV410) on jälgitav liigendiga amfiibne maastiku soomussõiduk, mille on tootnud BAE Systems Land Systems Hägglunds Rootsist. General Characteristics

The BvS10 is an amphibious articulated all-terrain vehicle developed by Hägglunds (now BAE Systems Bofors). It is a larger, more powerful, and armored successor to the venerable unarmored Bandvagn 206 (Bv 206). It is highly specialized for operations in extreme environments like snow, mud, and swamps.

Powerplant and Mobility

  • Key Mobility Feature: The articulated steering and all-track power allow it to traverse deep ditches, climb steep slopes (45 degrees), and operate fully loaded across terrain impassable to conventional vehicles due to its low ground pressure.

Protection and Variants

  • Protection (Armoured BvS10): Basic hull protection against small-arms fire and artillery fragments (STANAG 4569 Level 2), with optional add-on armor up to Level 4.
  • Protection (Beowulf): The Beowulf is the unarmored version, prioritizing payload and lower weight.
  • Armament: Typically fitted with a light machine gun (LMG) or heavy machine gun (HMG) on a ring mount or remote weapon station, with calibers ranging from 5.56 mm to 12.7 mm, or a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
  • Payload Capacity: The unarmored Beowulf can carry up to 8 tonnes.
  • International Use: Used by the armed forces of the UK (as Viking), Sweden, France, the Netherlands, and Austria.
