El SdKfz 161 Panzerkampfwagen IV (PzKpfW IV), llamado " Panzer IV ", fue un tanque de clase media utilizado por el ejército alemán durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Originalmente diseñado como un tanque de apoyo de fuego y armado con un cañón corto KwK 37 L/24 de 75 mm para el Panzer IV Ausf. A/B/C/D/E/F, fue rearmado con un cañón antitanque largo de 75 mm KwK 40 L/43 desde marzo de 1942 para el Panzer IV Ausf. F2 / G / H / J. El PzKpfW IV fue el tanque más utilizado por la Panzerwaffe, con 9.000 unidades producidas, y dio lugar a muchas versiones.

El cañón de asalto Sturmgesch-tz III (StuG III) fut le véhicule blindé de combat produit au plus grand nombre d’exemplaires par l’Allemagne au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il était construit sur le châssis du char Panzer III. Conçu au départ comme un canon léger blindé destiné à soutenir l’infanterie, le StuG fut continuellement modifié et fut largement employé comme chasseur de chars. La série des Sturmgeschütz est reconnue pour son excellent rapport prix/qualité. À la fin de la guerre, plus de 10 500 avaient été construits.

Une maquette de M7 signé Modelos DRAGON le "M7 Priest Mid-Production".

Désigné officiellement sous le nom de 105mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M7, le M7 Priest est un canon automoteur produit au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale par les États-Unis. Priest est le surnom donné par les Britanniques, dû au fait que la mitrailleuse placée sur un rail donnait l’impression que le char était muni d’une chaire. Il faisait suite au Bishop anglais et ils le désignèrent officiellement 105mm SP Priest. (Les britanniques aimaient donner des noms en rapport à la religion à leurs canons automoteurs (Priest = prêtre, Bishop = évêque, Sexton = sacristain), tradition qui dura jusque dans les années 1960 avec l‘Abbot (abbé).)

Michael Wittmann (April 22, 1914 – August 8, 1944) was a German Waffen-SS tank commander during the Second World War. Wittmann would rise to the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer (captain) and was a Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross holder. He was credited with the destruction of 138 tanks and 132 anti-tank guns, along with an unknown number of other armoured vehicles, making him one of Germany’s top scoring panzer aces, together with Johannes Bölter, Ernst Barkmann, Otto Carius and Kurt Knispel who was the top scoring ace of the war with 168 tank kills.

El nuevo kit de Dragon utiliza modelos Panzer III a escala 1/35 recientemente lanzados como base, e incorpora todas las características esenciales de este tipo Panzer III de producción final. Hay una amplia utilización de la tecnología de molde deslizante: la torreta de una sola pieza hecha de un molde deslizante de tres direcciones es un ejemplo, e incluso se incluye el rifling dentro del cañón de la pistola. Además, hay piezas multimedia como metal fotograbado para las parrillas en las tomas de aire. Otra cosa que distingue a este Panzer III es la inclusión de winterketten (pistas de invierno). De hecho, esta es la primera vez que las pistas de invierno se producen como Magic Tracks. Esto significa que los modelistas pueden equipar fácil y convenientemente su Panzer III con estas pistas especiales para un entorno invernal. Aunque este tanque está específicamente destinado a representar uno de s.Pz.Abt.502, los modeladores lo encontrarán enormemente versátil en su aplicación. Para aquellos que buscan un compañero para su Tiger, o simplemente quieren un impresionante modelo independiente, ¡este Panzer III es imprescindible!
