Teh Eland 90 mk7 is a variant of the Eland armoured car, a South African adaptation of the French Panhard AML. The Eland 90 mk7 is equipped with a 90mm Denel GT-2 low-pressure gun, which can fire high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) and high-explosive squash head (HESH) rounds. The Eland 90 mk7 has a crew of three: a commander, a driver, and a gunner. The vehicle is powered by a Chevrolet 153 2.5 liter petrol engine, which gives it a top speed of 100 km/h and an operational range of 450 km.
The Eland 90 mk7 has a fully independent suspension and four-wheel drive, making it highly mobile on rough terrain.
