Der Sturmpanzer (auch Sturmpanzer 43 oder Sd.Kfz. 166 genannt) war ein panzergestütztes Infanterie-Unterstützungsgeschütz, das auf dem Im Zweiten Weltkrieg eingesetzten Panzer IV-Fahrgestell basierte. Es wurde in den Schlachten von Kursk, Anzio, Normandie eingesetzt und im Warschauer Aufstand eingesetzt. Es war unter dem Spitznamen Brummbär (deutsch: "Grouch") des alliierten Geheimdienstes bekannt, ein Name, der von den Deutschen nicht verwendet wurde. Deutsche Soldaten gaben ihm den Spitznamen "Stupa", eine Kontraktion des Begriffs Sturmpanzer. Etwas mehr als 300 Fahrzeuge wurden gebaut und vier unabhängigen Bataillonen zugeteilt.
