Included aircraft parts are product of Italeri. Fabric-covered rear fuselage accurately reproduced in molded plastic. Cowlings may be detached to reveal the Merlin engine even after assembly. Includes photo-etched parts for cockpit details. 2 kinds of spinners and propellers included. 2 pilot and 1 commander figures manufactured by Tamiya (total of 3) and 6 Marking Options included. Comes with a Photographic Reference Manual (A5-sized, 36 pages).

Spolu so Spitfire Hurikán Hawker was one of the representative RAF fighters of WWII. This low-wing monoplane with wide-track retractable landing gear and eight 7.7mm machine guns incorporated proven biplane features such as a tubular frame. Although Hurricanes were outperformed by the Luftwaffe’s more advanced Messerschmitt Bf 109Es, the Battle of Britain in July 1940 saw Spitfires engage escorting Bf109s while Hurricanes went after the bombers. As a result of judicious unit management and pilot bravery, the RAF inflicted heavy losses on the Luftwaffe and were eventually able to claim a hard-fought victory. This Tamiya special release is made up of two manufactures products to give modelers access to one exclusive kit.

Komisia Grumman F7F Tigercat était le premier chasseur lourd bimoteur embarqué américain. Bien que nettement supérieur au F4U Corsair qui était considéré alors comme le meilleur chasseur de la marine, en arrivant que fin 1944, ces avions ne participèrent pas aux combats de la seconde guerre mondiale. Le Tigercat, produit à 362 unités, a été décliné en cinq versions différentes : – le F7F-1 : chasseur de jour monoplace (35 unités) – le F7F-2N : chasseur de nuit biplace (65 unités) – le F7F-3 : chasse de jour/reconnaissance photo (189 unités) – le F7F-3N : chasse de nuit (60 unités) – le F7F-4N : chasseur embarqué (13 unités)

This is a 1/350 model of the Japanese Navy Submarine I-400 with transparent hangar parts. Created as part of a daring plan to attack major cities in the United States and the Panama Canal in the last stages of WWII, these three technologically advanced I-400 class large aircraft carrier submarines never had the chance to see action due to the surrender of Japan.

Turret and hull feature a realistic cast metal surface texture. The assembly-type tracks offer easy assembly and feature realistic sag effect. Includes 1 commander figure positioned in the cupola. Comes with 2 kinds of markings.

The Russian Heavy Tank JS-2 was built to counter the German Tiger I. The JS-2, which was put into production in December 1943 during the latter half of WWII, had a long powerful 122mm gun and superior armor. From August, 1944 the hatch on the front glacis was deleted, which greatly improved its frontal protection. The JS-2 was produced in the Chelyabinsk Kirov factory (ChKZ), and they proved to be effective as “breakthrough” tanks as well as combating German armor. The Tamiya 1/48 scale model kit faithfully captures the details of this iconic World War II machine.

Riveted construction and bogie-type suspension reproduced. Tracks feature one-piece straight sections for ease of assembly. Commander figure may be assembled with a beret, side cap, or officer’s cap. 3 marking options included to depict tanks which saw action in Poland, France, and Russia. Tank parts are product of CMK.

Po nemeckej anexii Československa nemecká armáda upravila rôznu vojenskú techniku českej výroby a zaradila ju do služby. Medzi nimi bol aj ľahký tank LTvz.35 vyrobený spoločnosťou Škoda, ktorý bol preznačený na Pz.Kpfw.35(t). S výzbrojou jedného 37 mm hlavného kanónu a dvoch 7,92 mm guľometov a kvapalinou chladeným benzínovým motorom s výkonom 120 koní, ktorý umožňoval maximálnu rýchlosť 34 km/h, boli schopnosti tohto ľahkého tanku na rovnakej úrovni ako stredné tanky Panzer III nemeckej armády. Na začiatku druhej svetovej vojny bola 6. tanková divízia vybavená asi 200 týmito tankami, ktoré sa používali počas invázií do Poľska a Francúzska, ako aj v počiatočných fázach invázie do Ruska.

Plastová montážna súprava v mierke 1/700 Yorktown (CV-5) as she appeared during the Battle of Midway. Hanger doors may be depicted in open or closed position. Elevator at the stern may be depicted in up or down position. Comes with parts to depict F4F Wildcats, Douglas SBD-3 Dauntlesses, and Douglas TBD-1 Devastators.

Komisia USS Yorktown bola dokončená v septembri 1937 ako prvá loď jej menovca a šiesta lietadlová loď amerického námorníctva. Keď vypukla vojna v Tichomorí, stala sa vlajkovou loďou Task Force 17 pod velením kontraadmirála Franka J. Fletchera a uskutočnila niekoľko operácií okolo Pacifiku. Počas bitky o Koralové more v máji 1942 pomohla zmariť postup japonského námorníctva na Novú Guineu napriek tomu, že utrpela vážne škody. Následne, v bitke o Midway, Yorktown a jej sesterské lode USS Enterprise a USS Hornet porazili japonskú mobilnú flotilu, ale samotná Yorktown utrpela vážne škody torpédovými a bombovými zásahmi z lietadla japonskej lietadlovej lode Hiryu. Nakoniec bola potopená torpédami z japonskej ponorky I-168. Model v mierke Tamiya 1/700 je presnou replikou montážnej súpravy tohto ikonického nosiča počas druhej svetovej vojny.

1/350 scale plastic assembly kit of the Chikuma before she was refitted with additional AA guns, radar, and air defense command center. Model may be assembled as a full hull model mounted on a display stand or a waterline model. The use of small screws enables secure attachment of the hull and deck. Highly detailed main gun turrets. Gun barrels articulate in 2 different angles. V-shaped ventilator ducts and funnels included. Mast components are made from ABS plastic for greater durability. Photo-etched parts such as aircraft trolleys, catapult rails, and mast braces included. Anchor chains and propeller shafts are made with metal parts. Floatplanes included and come with display stands. Kit includes a Reference Booklet which provides background information for the Chikuma as well as a full color Painting Guide.

Chikuma bol posledný ťažký krížnik, ktorý cisárske japonské námorníctvo postavilo počas druhej svetovej vojny a bolo dokončené v máji 1939 ako druhá loď triedy Tone. Jej štyri dvojičky s výškou 20,3 cm boli umiestnené na luku, aby umožnili neobmedzenú prevádzku až 6 plavákov na korme. Jej dizajn tiež umožnil maximálnu rýchlosť 35 uzlov a dlhý dosah. Bola pridelená do mobilnej flotily Dopravcov so svojou sesterskou loďou Tone. Počas útoku na Pearl Harbor v decembri 1941 jej plaváky uskutočnili predútokový prieskum nad Pearl Harborom, čo výrazne prispelo k úspechu operácie IJN. Bola tiež aktívna počas bitky o Midway a kampane Šalamúnových ostrovov. Počas bitky pri Leyteskom zálive v októbri 1944 bola vlajkovou loďou flotily admirála Kuritu a prispela k potopeniu zálivu USS Gambier, ale bola následne poškodená torpédami a potopená pri pobreží ostrova Samar.

Komisia Avro Lancaster was one of the RAF’s main heavy bombers during WWII. Among the many variants, the Mk.III “Dambuster” and Mk.I “Grand Slam Bomber” were best known and the most famous. The “Dambuster” was modified to attack dams in Germany. It was equipped with special bouncing bombs which would skip across the water to the dam wall and explode below the surface of water to inflict structural damage. The “Grand Slam Bomber” was designed to carry the 10-ton Grand Slam earthquake bomb and its bomb bay doors and dorsal machine guns were removed to reduce weight in order to do so. These Lancaster’s used the Grand Slam on such important targets such as U-boat bases and rocket manufacturing sites. The Tamiya model faithfully captures all the detail of this historic and famous WWII aircraft in 1/48 scale

Komisia Iľjušin Il-2 bolo jedným z najvýznamnejších útočných lietadiel druhej svetovej vojny. Obsahoval robustnú monokokovú konštrukciu a vynikajúcu pancierovú ochranu, vďaka čomu bol ideálny pre pozemné útoky. Pôvodne bol koncipovaný ako dvojmiestny dizajn, ale kvôli problémom s hmotnosťou bol v roku 1940 prepracovaný na ľahšie jednomiestne lietadlo. Keď sa výroba začala v roku 1941, lietadlo bolo označené ako Il-2. Ťažké straty jednomiestnych lietadiel počas bojov si v roku 1943 vynútili pridanie pozície zadného strelca. Neskoršie varianty obsahovali vylepšenia, ako napríklad šikmé vonkajšie krídla pre lepšiu ovládateľnosť. Il-2 výrazne prispel k konečnému víťazstvu Ruska nad nacistickým Nemeckom. Sám Josif Stalin slávne poznamenal, že lietadlo bolo pre ruskú armádu rovnako dôležité ako vzduch a chlieb.
