O SdKfz 161 Panzerkampfwagen IV (PzKpfW IV), conhecido como Panzer IV, foi um tanque de classe média usado pelo exército alemão durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Originalmente projetado como um tanque de apoio a incêndio e armado com uma arma KwK 37 L/24 de 75 mm para o Panzer IV Ausf. A / B / C / D / E / F, foi rearmado com uma longa arma anti-tanque 75 mm KwK 40 L/43 a partir de março de 1942 para o Panzer IV Ausf. F2 / G / H / J. O PzKpfW IV foi o tanque mais utilizado pela Panzerwaffe, com 9.000 unidades produzidas, e deu origem a muitas versões.

Um modelo assinado de Stug.III Modelos DRAGON le "StuG.III Ausf.F/8 Late Production w/winter track".

A arma de assalto Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) fut le véhicule blindé de combat produit au plus grand nombre d’exemplaires par l’Allemagne au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il était construit sur le châssis du char Panzer III. Conçu au départ comme un canon léger blindé destiné à soutenir l’infanterie, le StuG fut continuellement modifié et fut largement employé comme chasseur de chars. La série des Sturmgeschütz est reconnue pour son excellent rapport prix/qualité. À la fin de la guerre, plus de 10 500 avaient été construits.

Oficialmente designado como o 105mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M7, o Sacerdote M7 est un canon automoteur produit au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale par les États-Unis. Priest est le surnom donné par les Britanniques, dû au fait que la mitrailleuse placée sur un rail donnait l’impression que le char était muni d’une chaire. Il faisait suite au Bishop anglais et ils le désignèrent officiellement 105mm SP Priest. (Les britanniques aimaient donner des noms en rapport à la religion à leurs canons automoteurs (Priest = prêtre, Bishop = évêque, Sexton = sacristain), tradition qui dura jusque dans les années 1960 avec l‘Abbot (abbé).)

Michael Wittmann (April 22, 1914 – August 8, 1944) was a German Waffen-SS tank commander during the Second World War. Wittmann would rise to the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer (captain) and was a Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross holder. He was credited with the destruction of 138 tanks and 132 anti-tank guns, along with an unknown number of other armoured vehicles, making him one of Germany’s top scoring panzer aces, together with Johannes Bölter, Ernst Barkmann, Otto Carius and Kurt Knispel who was the top scoring ace of the war with 168 tank kills.

Dragon’s new kit uses recently released 1/35 scale Panzer III models as a foundation, and it incorporates all the essential features of this final-production Panzer III type. There is wide utilization of slide-mold technology – the one-piece turret made from a three-directional slide mold is one example, and even the rifling inside the gun barrel is included. Plus there are multimedia parts such as photo-etched metal for the grills on the air intakes. One further thing that sets this Panzer III apart is the inclusion of winterketten (winter tracks). In fact this is the first time winter tracks have been produced as Magic Tracks. This means modelers can easily and conveniently equip their Panzer III with these special tracks for a winter setting. Although this tank is specifically meant to depict one from s.Pz.Abt.502, modelers will find it hugely versatile in its application. For those seeking a companion for their Tiger, or simply wanting a stunning standalone model, this Panzer III is a must-have!
