Več informacij:

The Vickers Viscount was a pioneering aircraft that introduced the world to the advantages of turboprop engines. It was developed by Vickers-Armstrong in response to a British government specification for a medium-range airliner that could carry 24 passengers at 200 mph. The Viscount first flew in 1948 and entered service with British European Airways in 1953. It was a popular and profitable aircraft, with 445 units built and sold to airlines around the world. The Viscount had a pressurised cabin, low noise and vibration levels, and large windows that offered a panoramic view of the sky. It was also faster and more fuel-efficient than piston-powered aircraft of the same era. The Viscount was a milestone in aviation history and a testament to the innovation and engineering of Vickers-Armstrong.
