Komisia Všeobecné atómové MQ-1 Predátor Je to americké diaľkovo riadené lietadlo (RPA) postavené spoločnosťou General Atomics a používané predovšetkým Americkými vzdušnými silami (USAF) a Ústrednou spravodajskou agentúrou (CIA). Pôvodne koncipovaný na začiatku 90. rokov pre letecké prieskumné a forwardové pozorovacie úlohy, Predator nesie kamery a iné senzory, ale bol upravený a modernizovaný tak, aby niesol a vystreľoval dve rakety AGM-114 Hellfire alebo inú muníciu. text The General Atomics MQ-1 Predator is a remotely piloted aircraft that has been used for various missions by the United States and other countries. It was originally designed for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance, but later modified to carry weapons such as the AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. The MQ-1 Predator can fly for up to 14 hours at a medium altitude, and transmit real-time video and data to a ground control station via a satellite link. The MQ-1 Predator has played a significant role in the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other regions, where it has been used for intelligence collection, target identification, and precision strike. The MQ-1 Predator is also capable of performing close air support, combat search and rescue, convoy overwatch, and other tasks. The MQ-1 Predator is part of a system that includes four aircraft, a ground control station, a satellite link, and a crew of pilots, sensor operators, and maintenance personnel. The MQ-1 Predator was retired by the United States Air Force in 2018, and replaced by the more advanced MQ-9 Reaper.
