Tthe Pilatus PC-6 Porter is a single-engine turboprop aircraft designed and manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. It is widely used for various purposes, such as passenger and cargo transport, aerial work, skydiving, humanitarian missions, and military operations. The PC-6 has a distinctive high-wing configuration and a fixed tricycle landing gear.
It can take off and land on short and unprepared runways, thanks to its powerful engine and STOL (short takeoff and landing) performance. The PC-6 was first flown in 1959 and has been in continuous production since 1961, making it one of the longest-running aircraft programs in history.
